As a proven supplier, we actively participated in the third stage of the expansion of the Jurášek Pension
complex in the picturesque Beskydy Mountains.
We continued our successful deliveries during the construction of the guesthouse itself and its subsequent expansion.
This time the investor realized the intention of building a separate restaurant with the possibility of opening its interior towards the terrace and easy closing again. At the same time, an elegant solution with a decisive proportion of glass surfaces without distracting frames and details was required. Ease of operation, comfort and safety were considered as standard.
After clarifying the functional and design requirements of both the investor and the architect, we presented a solution in the DORMA HSW Easy Safe system. This new addition to the DORMAKABA range of mobile glass partitions offers a number of practical and innovative solutions compared to the previous generation - in addition to the new design of the profiles for hanging the glass. Thanks to the upgraded locks, it is now easier for users to operate the wall with combination sashes that combine sliding and pivoting functions. The added seals on the cover strips prevent water and dirt from entering the clamp profile area.
Securing the sash in the rest position is easier and safer. The height of the clamp profiles remains the same as the previous series. A maximum sash height of 4 metres and a weight of up to 150 kg will meet most architects' requirements for all-glass mobile walls. The use of the DORMA HSW Easy Safe system has enabled the realisation of a segmental wall consisting of two-thirds sliding sashes and one opening-sliding sash. The remaining part of the wings is firmly integrated into the building shell. According to the investor's wishes, the gaps between the glass panes were filled with silicone gaskets that do not interfere with the wall design. At the same time, it helps to maintain a comfortable climate in the interior of the restaurant and prevents the ingress of dirt.
The breadth of possibilities for moving the sashes and locking them extends the variability of the restaurant space itself and its operation, with the ability to adapt to the current weather, number of guests and type of event. The sliding sashes are relegated to the parking lot when the wall is fully open, positioned so as not to disturb guests and restaurant operations. The sliding wall was also supplied with an auxiliary steel structure anchored to the timber building truss. The colour scheme of the HSW Easy Safe wall profiles, clear toughened glass and stainless steel handrails matched the warm wood tones of the supporting elements of the timber building. The installation itself took five days, including the steel structure. Our delivery also included the aluminium doors and windows from the ALUPROF system located in the restaurant's background.
