Passage Kotva Revoluční Prague

The aim of this project was to give the shopping arcade a modern look while respecting the original architectural character of the premises.

We have carried out extensive renovations to the passageways of the shopping arcade, which include the replacement of paving, suspended ceilings, including lighting, and last but not least, the supply of glass shopfronts and entrance portals to the shops or the reception of the administrative part of the building. Our challenge was to reconcile the requirement for fire resistance of the glazed structures with the conservationists' brief to ensure that the finish and dimensions of the profiles were as close as possible to the original design. The supporting structures are made of aluminium façade profiles in a finish imitating stainless steel. Stainless steel ornamental mouldings are then used on the outside. The doors and automatic door leaves are clad with stainless steel sheets.
