Avion Ostrava shopping centre

In 2018, the modernisation of the Avion shopping gallery cladding in Ostrava, which had been gradually carried out in previous years, was completed. Our company contributed in all three phases by supplying and installing glazed entrance portals, including bond cassette edging.

The glazed entrance facades are assembled by frameless anchoring of glass panes using stainless steel points. The anchor points pass through interglass joints which are filled with insulator and sealed externally and internally. The use of triple glazing with anti-solar characteristics ensures sufficient penetration of natural daylight into the entrance space while preventing excessive heat gain. The glazed entrance facades also include an escape door, details of the connection to the surrounding structures and a carousel door. The design trim of the façades is made up of cassettes of bond plates suspended from an aluminium support grid. The final stage of the work also included the manufacture and supply of the cladding for the two columns used to hang the gallery's logo shield. Throughout the entire project, we maintained a high standard of workmanship and materials. As a result, not only did we participate in all stages of the modernisation of the façade of the shopping gallery, but we also made a significant contribution to the remodelling of the interior of the shopping arcade by supplying and installing the glazed shop fronts. In addition, we supplied the glazing for the smoking area outside the main entrance.
